Termite/Pest Inspections
Detect Wood Destroying Insects
A Wood Destroying Insect Inspection (WDI Inspection) is recommended when purchasing or selling a home, and is often required by some lenders. (Ask your loan officer if one is needed.) The purpose of a Wood Destroying Insect Inspection is to discover and report if there are wood destroying pests or organisms, such as termites, carpenter ants and bees, powder post beetles, etc.
Whether your lender requires one or not, we highly recommend that you order a pest inspection, because there can be thousands of dollars of treatment or repairs that you may be unaware of without performing this inspection.
Inspect and Detect will coordinate your pest inspection with an outside, licensed pest control operator. In most cases, we will arrange for the pest inspection to be completed at the same time as your home inspection.
